Poinsettias for a Purpose Update

Poinsettias for a Purpose Update

This year, the Lincoln Park Conservatory was unable to host its annual winter flower show. As a result, the stunning poinsettias that the horticultural staff tended for almost a year in Conservatory greenhouses needed new homes. That’s where the Conservancy came in. Working with the Park District and our supporters, we sold nearly 700 plants during our Deck Your Halls:  Poinsettias for a Purpose sale and raised almost $15,000 in support of the Conservatory and our programming at the site.

Speaking of our programming, did you know that you can still see what’s going on inside the Conservatory while it’s closed? Check out our Youtube channel for educational and fun docent-led tours of all your favorite Conservatory plants and rooms. It’s a great way to stay abreast of what’s happening at Lincoln Park’s historic glasshouse until it can safely open again!
