30 Aug Docent Program Relaunch
Starting October 1st, the Conservancy will be offering a new docent training session for those interested in being interpretive volunteers at the Conservatory!
Recently, we asked our docents about their favorite aspects of volunteering with us, and just a few of the fantastic responses we received were:
“My favorite part is being immersed in the beauty of nature at the Lily Pool. I get such a thrill showing visitors some animals in their natural habitat (no bars or glass).” –Tracey Lowenthal
“My favorite part of being a docent is interacting with our Conservatory guests. People come through the front door not knowing what to expect and together we have the tropical world to explore.” –Norm Raidl
“My favorite part of being a docent is meeting so many new people from all around the world. Every time I am in the Conservatory I just feel better. Being around the beautiful plants and architecture is very enriching and I am always seeing it in a new way.” –Elle McCloskey
The deadline to register for docent training is August 31. For more information, email Amelia Pollock, Manager of Docent Programs, at apollock@lincolnparkconservancy.org.
